I took some time to participate in a hackathon hosted here in Halifax with the theme “Probability and Randomness”.

I decided to dedicate the hack to children and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Rasto (coined from the abbreviation of a “Random Autistic friendly Story” ) would assist social skills development (specifically emotion comprehension) in autistic children.

The process utilized some of the elements listed below:

to develop an interactive game for Android benefiting from several underlying technologies including the semantic power of a graph database.
